Jersey has had some snow overnight into Tuesday (9 January).
Temperatures fell below freezing, and the island had a dusting of snow.
Jersey Met had issued a yellow level warning for snow and ice, and forecasters predicted any accumulations would be minimal and not more than half a centimetre.
That weather warning has been upgraded to orange this morning, and it's thought two or three centimetres of snow could settle.

Islanders awoke to snow that had settled on cars, grass and paths.

Motorists are being advised to take extra care on the roads.
Jersey Met says snow showers will persist until late afternoon, and the maximum temperature is just 2 degrees Celsius.
The Education Department says:
"Unless parents and carers have heard otherwise from their school, children should be taken to school as usual. There will naturally be some delays and schools are prepared for this; the main priority is that it is done safely. There is not a whole school closure policy in place for today. "
Some schools are offering an early or staggered pick-up to support parents with the treacherous conditions. Teachers will contact parents directly.
Meetings will take place at 5.45am tomorrow to 'assess the conditions' for schools and whether it will be safe to open.
If parents are not contacted, they should assume their children's school is open.
Jersey's government advice is to 'ensure you stay warm during these cold conditions and check on the wellbeing of any vulnerable family, friends and neighbours'.
The first flights of the day have taken off (11.15) from Jersey Airport after the runway was closed first thing due to the snowfall.
