- The sun sets on Weekender 2023
The Royal Showground was once again transformed into a festival site for the annual two days of live music.
Saturday featured performances from 'Messy in Heaven' singer Venbee and Freya Ridings, who had the crowd singing along to 'Castles'.
Later in the afternoon, Melaine C took to the main stage with a mix of her solo hits and some Spice Girl classics.
Becky Hill - whose festival season appearances have included Glastonbury, Creamfields and Ibiza Rocks - closed the first day of Weekender with a set that celebrated the two-time Brit Award winner's decade of belting dance anthems
Day 2, and with the temperature rising to 26 Celsius, Gok Wan's DJ set got the crowd warmed up.
Sunday's set list included Charlotte Plank, Shalamar and Jersey band Von Cassidy, ahead of Manchester rock band James.
Hot Dub Time Machine closed the 2023 show with a DJ set of music through the decades,
"So good! Such a good vibe!"
" We've had a really good time. It's been a really good vibe. Really cool, really fun."
"The weather's been great... sun's out, fun's out."
