Seven red squirrels have been hit by vehicles in Jersey today (Friday 30 October), prompting a plea from the JSPCA to keep an extra lookout for the furry creatures.
With the nice weather, they are likely to be out and about searching for food and exploring.
Anyone who hits a red squirrel is asked to stop somewhere safe and call the JSPCA, or bring the animal in if it's safe.
The JSCPA said:
"These little animals are precious, and every life matters.
"A few extra seconds of care and attention behind the wheel could make all the difference."
