Leo Olsson, a filmmaker and adventurer from Jersey, has become the 45th Blue Peter presenter.
The 23 year old former Victoria College pupil has been unveiled as the latest person to front the world's longest running children's programme.
Leo, a content creator, has built a loyal following online with his 'bucket list' videos of personal challenges.
He has a tiktok following of almost a half a million, and 13 million have liked his videos.
He started out more than a decade ago, making posts reviewing tech. At 18 he wrote to world leaders, asking for their tips on how to be an adult.
He shared the replies he received, including from the Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern, with his social media followers.
The show's bosses say his storytelling, positivity and sense of adventure made him a perfect fit.
Sarah Muller, BBC Senior Head of Children’s Commissioning +7, said:
"His determination, passion for adventure and inspiring others reflects everything the programme stands for, and we're excited to welcome him to the team."
Blue Peter had a rebrand in 2025, and has a growing audience in YouTube and 6.8m streams in BBC iPlayer.
Leo said of his new job:
"Blue Peter has always stood for adventure and not being afraid to try new things, which are values I try to bring to everything I create.
"Growing up I was inspired by people I watched online and on television and I want to do the same, I want to let kids know that you can go out and do whatever you want to do, take on a challenge, big or small!
"It's such an honour to join a programme with such an incredible legacy, and I can't wait to meet the audience, take on new challenges and create some unforgettable adventures together.”
Leo will make his debut on show on Friday 20 November, joining a formation skydive to earn his Blue Peter badge.
