It's officially the hottest Jersey day ever recorded.
At around 1.45 pm, temperatures broke the previous high of 37.9°C set in July 2022.

As it got hotter, the record was smashed by over a degree.
The exact high was 39.3°C, reached at 3.30 pm.
That made it hotter here at the time than in Dubai, Barbados and even the Sahara Desert.
