Daniel Dufour is helping the elderly and disabled islanders get moving with sit-down boxing sessions.
The 30-year-old personal trainer decided he wanted to start the sit-down sessions to help residents at nursing homes get moving.
Residents at the care homes and day centres have thrown themselves into the classes and are hugely enjoying exercising with Daniel.
The lessons are held weekly at different homes around the island, and the personal trainer says he always gets greeted with a smile.
"Ah they love it, as soon as I walk in some of the residents don't even come out of their rooms until they see that I've come down."
"It's really positive, they love it and so do I."
Around 30 sessions have been held over the space of a few months at homes including Stuart Court or Maison La Corderie.
The Boxd Off founder got the idea to start training with older islanders after seeing a video online.
After asking his friends who work in the field if it would be something they would be interested in, a trial session was held to see if the elderly would get involved.
The idea stuck out to the 30-year-old because he realised there was a lack of things for Jersey's older generations to do.
Daniel says more could be done for the island's elderly and disabled.
"I know from obviously visiting these places how hard these people work in these environments. There's always more that could be done.
"After getting my foot in the door and seeing how happy it makes them, it gives me more energy to put into it."
Currently, Micheal Blood from Blood Fitness is letting the young personal trainer borrow old gloves and weighted bean bags for the residents to use.
Dan is trying to raise money to buy new equipment for the elderly residents to ensure their safety.
The money will go towards new gloves, pads, 1kg dumbbells and sanitising equipment.
If enough money is raised, Boxd Off may be able to buy transport with a drying rack to get to as many residential homes as possible.
Daniel Dufour says he feels that this is just the start.
"I do really want to carry it on, I'm hoping I can visit more homes and do this on a more frequent basis as I really do believe this is the start of something really special."
