An elderly man is receiving treatment in hospital after being attacked and robbed in the early hours of this morning (4 February).
Police say the break-in happened between 2:45am and 3:15am on Old St John's Road, near the junction with New St John's Road.
£6,300 was taken from a bedside drawer.
The victim suffered facial injuries.
Officers want to speak to anyone with information, as well as any drivers with dashcam who were in the area at the time.
