Islanders are being urged not to bring dogs down to Greve de Lecq beach, which has been closed again after a seal returned to the sand.
The large adult male was first found there on Thursday evening and was thought to have returned to the sea.
But after another sighting, the area has been cordoned off again to keep the public safe as the mammal continues to moult.
He is being monitored carefully by mammal medics, who have pleaded for people to keep dogs away to help aid his recovery.
"We have had a couple of dog incidents today hence this updated message. Please please don’t bring dogs down here, even the barking spooks him. Let’s just give him some time.
Absolutely no feeding, he is eating small amounts between swims and his poop has been checked by the vet. He is a wild animal and must not be fed by humans.
It’s important the message is clear, we have just 2 options with an animal this size. Monitor and keep him and everyone safe to give him the best chance, or euthanasia. We are trying so hard to keep him safe."
