We're being asked to complete an online survey on how to stay safe from fires.
Jersey Fire and Rescue has posed questions about communication with officers, risks in the home and what you think the main causes of fires are.
The results will form part of a new management plan, which is aimed at improving safety and reducing the number of emergency incidents.
Head of Fire Safety and Group Commander, Jason Masterman, wants a range of views.
"What we're identifying here is if there are people out there in the community that may well be vulnerable or those elderly people that may well find that they identify risk in a different way that someone of a younger age may identify risk.
"We want to make sure that we produce some form of plan so that moving forward, we can help in the correct manner to be of benefit to everybody."
The plan will be sent out this Autumn to explain JFRS' activities in more detail - including future prevention, protection, response and resilience arrangements.
Members of the service will be at different venues throughout the island early next month to talk to people who can't access or complete the survey online.
Mr. Masterman says the response has been really positive so far.
"The islanders that have completed the survey so far, approximately 250, have identified that cooking and fires in the kitchen are those where we find the most risk.
"People also identify things like smoking and electrical fires are very high risk and those are things that we want to combat. We want people to understand how they can reduce the risk to make them safer."
