Severe gale force 9 winds are expected in the Channel Islands this weekend - forcing several cancellations.
CLOSED: Lloyds Bank branches in Jersey will be closed on Saturday due to the incoming windy weather.
CLOSED: Jersey's ice rink will be closed on Saturday and Sunday , with the opportunity to reschedule skate sessions on their website.
POSTPONED: The annual Battle Christmas Parade has been postponed for safety reasons, with organisers saying: "We are looking to confirm a new date and will share updates as soon as possible. Please keep an eye on our social media."
CLOSED: Jersey Water has closed both Queen’s Valley and Val de la Mare reservoirs to the public as a safety precaution in preparation for incoming Storm Darragh. From lunchtime on Friday 6 December, access to both sites will not be possible until further notice.
CLOSED: Jersey Heritage has made the decision to close all sites to the public for Saturday 7 December. They will access the sites on Sunday morning and decide if they are safely able to open.
CLOSED: The Jersey Zoo is also closed on Saturday, including the shop, café, and charity shop. They too will monitor the situation on Sunday.
POSTPONED: The Les Amis Christmas Choir event at Town Church on Saturday 8 has been cancelled. They have said: "The Choir are extremely disappointed after putting in many hours rehearsing, but Les Amis is planning to arrange a date when they can perform in the Church and will livestream the event."
