Eventually all frontline customer services will relocate to Philip Le Feuvre House.
The single point of contact has been created so that islanders don’t have to visit multiple offices to deal with government.
The Social Security building was chosen because it already has the highest footfall.
Customs and Passports will move in next week, followed by Planning and Building Control in a fortnight’s time.
Cyril Le Marquand is now closed to the public, except for appointments.
The States says is also moving more services online and centralising phone numbers into a single contact centre.
