Passengers will follow a temporary route through the departures terminal at Jersey Airport as its redevelopment enters its 'most significant phase'.
Work begins today (28 January) on upgrading the Departures Lounge.
Preparations have been going on for the past few months, and now the next stage of construction is getting started.
It means that departing passengers will be rerouted along a temporary walkway once they pass through security.
Ports of Jersey says there will be no impact on flights or at check-in, and all the food and drinks and duty free shop offerings will remain available, albeit accessed through different routes or moved to temporary spaces.
Sarah-Louise Stubbs, Head of Terminal Operations at Ports of Jersey, said: “We’re upgrading the Departure Lounge while keeping the airport fully operational, and we’ve worked hard to ensure key services remain open, accessible and easy to find.
"Clear signage is in place and additional team members are on hand to support passengers. This is a significant investment in Jersey’s airport and in the first and last impressions we offer to everyone travelling to and from the island.”
The upgrade is part of a ten-year plan to invest in the airport.

How the airport departures lounge will look after the upgrade.
The Assisted Travel Lounge can now be found between Gates 2 and 3 (The old BA lounge), while the the café and bar have been temporarily relocated to the former TV lounge area.
This phase of the work is due to be finished in summer.
The next stage - making a sit-down dining area, new bar and grab-and-go-cafe will follow next spring.
