More than 1,000 Jersey children have had their say on what support they'd like to see for youngsters in the island.
These thoughts were taken from a consultation which ran between April and June 2024.
More than 1,000 youngsters responded to a survey sharing their views, and 16 schools were visited where the Office for the Children's Commissioner of Jersey spoke with 300 more pupils.

These thoughts have been used to influence Children's Commissioner Dr Carmel Corrigan's four year plan going forward.
She tells us what issues young people were raising:
"Lack of play and leisure facilities, particularly for the winter months, particularly indoor facilities.
"They talked a lot about the cost of living in Jersey and about poverty.
"They talked a lot about school and their experience of education, about mental health and delays with being able to access mental health services."

The 2024-2027 strategic states that 6 key areas will be prioritised to support children's rights.
These include: educational inequality, children experiencing poverty, play and leisure, mental health and wellbeing, children in care and those in the youth justice system.
