All Guernsey and Jersey consumers can now join Co-op Mobile and keep their existing number.
While Sure and Airtel customers have been able to switch to Co-op Mobile and keep their same mobile number, there were delays in moving from JT.
The competition watchdogs in both islands stepped in when the retailer and Sure complained that number porting from JT was taking too long.

Those issues have been resolved today (17 March).
On its website, The Jersey Consumer Council (JCC) says that choice is important in the market:
“Mobile phones are an essential part of everyday life for most islanders, but many of us may be paying more than we need to for our monthly contracts.
"With a growing choice of providers and packages, the Jersey Consumer Council is reminding consumers that it’s worth taking the time to shop around and compare deals before signing up.”
