Jersey and British swimming star Filip Nowacki is a European Champion.
The 18 year old won gold for Great Britain in the 200 metre breaststroke in Paris on Thursday (13 August).
In a dramatic finish, the teenager made a late burst to edge out Dutch swimmer Caspar Corbeau with a time of 2 minutes 7.70 seconds and claim his first senior European title.
He told Aquatics GB how it felt to be having such a whirlwind summer:
"Very special there, to have won my first European title straight after winning a Commonwealth Games title is something I am definitely do a lot of reflecting of."
It is more history made for the island swimming sensation, who claimed Commonwealth gold and silver last month - Jersey's first Games medals in 36 years.
Local swimming coach, Tiger's Nathan Jegou, told Channel 103 that success would 'change his life forever'.
His European victory came on the same day as receiving his A level results.
Earlier this week in Paris, Nowacki finished sixth in the 100m breaststroke final, once place and 0.01 seconds behind GB's Adam Ramsay-Peaty.
Last year, the won four golds at the European Junior Championships, and the 100m and 200m breaststroke titles at the World Junior Championships, as well as seven golds for Jersey at the Island Games in Orkney.
