Details have been released about how much compensation will be offered to victims of the asbestos-related disease mesothelioma.
Applications to a new scheme can be made from 1st October.
It was agreed by States Members last November following a petition that drew more than 1300 signatures.
Claimants have to be over 18, a Jersey resident for the last five years, exposed and diagnosed here, and claim within 12 months.
Relatives can also apply on behalf of a deceased family member.
Compensation ranges from £92,259 for sufferers aged under 37 to £14,334 for victims aged over 77.
It's planned to go up annually in line with Jersey RPI.
The government thinks there will be around five claims a year.
Social Security Minister Deputy Judy Martin says it's aimed at making sure sufferers receive a lump payment quickly and easily.
