A man wearing a surgical face mask suffered minor facial injuries after being pulled to the ground and chased across Parade Gardens by four other men this past Wednesday evening (20 May).
It followed a fight between the man with the mask and one other man in the middle of the park, near the benches, at around 9pm. Both were wearing white t-shirts.
Police say he had to run across the road opposite the hospital to get away. He turned down medical treatment.
Two men were arrested at the scene - a 26-year-old on suspicion of assault and 46-year-old on suspicion of grave and criminal assault. They've been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.
Anyone with dashcam footage or any information on what happened is asked to call police.
