A 70 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving after a crash on La Route du Fort this morning.
He was driving a Silver Mercedes Benz at 9:30am that hit an 83 year old man at the junction of Cleveland Road.
The elderly pedestrian has been taken to hospital with suspected fractures.
The road was shut between St Clements Road and Roseville Street for around two hours, but has now re-opened.
