Lee Ingram has been appointed President of theJersey Football Association.
He replaces Bradley Vowden, who stepped down after six years in the role.
Mr Ingram, a local lawyer and former island footballer, says he wants to see the sport grow and become a diverse and all-inclusive offering.
“I am honoured and privileged to have been asked to represent the local Association.
"Whilst President, Bradley was an incredible ambassador for the sport in the island, and I will do my utmost to follow in his footsteps to ensure that his legacy is carried on to the best of my ability."
Jimmy Kelly, Jersey FA Chairman, welcomed the appointment:
“Lee has strong links with sporting communities across Jersey, and his voluntary support of our football teams in the background at the recent Island Games in Orkney was much appreciated.
“It’s clear he has a passion for football and a commitment to the development of our sport in Jersey, particularly the female game. We look forward to working with him over the years ahead.
Mr Kelly also thanked Bradley Vowden for his dedication, leadership and 'immense' contribution to local football.
