Jersey's 2022 line-up of Pride events have been announced.
Drawing inspiration from the first UK Pride march in 1972, a 70s-themed parade will walk from the Royal Square to a pride village at People's Park on Saturday 10 September.
CI Pride Director, Christian May, says the occasion celebrates the bravery of those who first campaigned for change 50 years ago:
"The rights of all minority groups have improved since the early days, but there is still work to be done towards full equality. In the celebratory atmosphere of Pride it can be overlooked that Pride is still a protest – a reminder that things are not equal for everyone.”
In People’s Park there will be stalls, well-being, family and community zones and a main stage headlined by drag-act Queenz and LBGTQ influencer DJ Woody Cook.

A supporting line-up of local talent is being showcased too and will be announced at a later date.
Guernsey's plans for CI Pride were announced in June and are being hosted a week earlier, on Saturday 3 September.
