Jersey Testing Single Decker Electric Bus

Another type of electric bus will be tested on Jersey's roads.

The Higer Steed has just been trialled in Guernsey.

Jersey's government has said there are no compatible zero emissions buses on the market that meet all the island's needs.

It has been in discussions with suppliers about the cost of bespoke vehicles.

Infrastructure officials have confirmed to Channel 103 that Libertybus is assessing the performance of the new model single decker this month.

The Higer Steed is a fully electric narrow-bodied bus.

Further trials of other models were then put on hold because of the coronavirus pandemic.
