Jayson Lee's Memorial Run, which raises funds for Jersey Hospice, is being handed over to the charity from his family.
Jayson Lee died suddenly while playing football for St John’s Football team in 2009, and the popular 10K run was set up in his memory.
His family has now decided to hand the baton to Jersey Hospice.

The route sets off at 9:00 am from FB Fields, and goes along all of Jayson's favourite places - past Jayson’s home, his school, La Hocq slip – where he used to take his boys for bacon rolls – and his final resting place.
This year, the run is taking place on Sunday 31 August.
The distance is a run rather race, and suitable for all abilities and everyone who crosses the finish line will be awarded a medal.
There will also be a trophy for the overall winner and the first three women and men to cross the line.
