Jersey's Assistant Minister with responsibility for sport says she hopes the island can 'build on' the success from the Commonwealth Games.
Filip Nowacki starred with a gold medal in the 200m breaststroke and silver in the 100m breaststroke, with a host of other island stars setting new personal and island records in Glasgow.
Serena Serena Kersten, the former England netball captain, says it's been a games like no other, and it's been an 'incredible' moment to be Sports Minister.
Senator Serena Kersten said:
"I just hope that as a Government we can leverage some of this positivity off the back of it with our kids going back to school in September.
"These are what you want our children to be getting excited about, these role models, so it's a fantastic platform and they've done us proud, that's for sure.

"There's been so many great things happening at these games, I think our athletes have really stepped up.
"It's a credit to them, and whatever resources have gone into them, whether it's how Jersey Sport have helped them, or their respective governing bodies.
"An incredible moment."
Senator Kersten says it's a testament to the hard work of athletes and their supporting bodies:
"From a Jersey Sport perspective, they must be very pleased to see their athletes on their performance sport grant and in their programmes; it's a really proud moment for them, and evidence that it's working.
"From a Jersey perspective, the breaking records part and the continuous improving part are really important because we are a smaller nation, but it doesn't mean we can't do outstanding things."
