Jersey Airport Closed Until 2PM Earliest

Jersey Airport will remain closed until at least 2pm tomorrow (3 Nov) after it suffered 'extensive damage' during Storm Ciaran.

Bosses are carrying out checks to ensure everything is running smoothly ahead of allowing passengers back onto planes.

Workers are in the process of identifying any extensive infrastructure, equipment and system failures.

An announcement will be made at midday about flights.

Ports of Jersey says the Elizabeth Harbour is functioning as normal.

Condor and Channel Islands Co-op are expecting a freight ship to deliver goods in the window of time between high winds.
