There has been a brief opportunity for islanders to take to the ice again today, but it was not for long.
The rink reopened for a short time this morning (4 January), having been shut since New Year's Eve.
However, Jersey Development Company has decided to close it again at 1pm.
The island is bracing for more gale force 9 winds.
A low-pressure system is passing over the Channel Islands, bringing more severe weather, just days after Storm Henk.
The rink's anticipated reopening was due today after it suffered damage to the internal structure after strong gusts on Sunday, 31 December 2023.
Repairs have since been completed on the structure, and a professional has checked its safety.
Customers can re-schedule their tickets from midday on 5 January when the rink reopens, following a further inspection.
JDC apologises for any inconvenience and says the safety of users is 'paramount'.
