Jersey's General Hospital wants the families and carers of islanders with dementia to have their say about how they can improve care for those with the condition.
Dementia Jersey is working with the hospital to create a charter that clearly sets out what people with dementia can expect when they seek care.
The hospital's team are looking for islanders who have a family member, friend, or client who has been an out-patient, an in-patient, or has been to the emergency department within the last couple of years.
Islanders can share their thoughts in multiple ways:
- Discussion Groups: Meet in person with the hospital's team in December;
- Telephone Call: Book a time to speak directly with Rachel McBride, HCJ Programme Lead – Dementia;
- Or, Send an Email: Write down feedback and send it to DementiaStrategy@gov.je.
