Work begins today to resurface the main roads around Georgetown and Plat Douet.
Victoria Road, Plat Douet Road and La Grande Route de la Cote are being resurfaced between the Don Road and School Road junctions.
Temporary traffic lights will be in operation this week while lanes are closed for preparatory works.
From next Monday, sections of St Clement's Coast Road will be closed between 9am and 6pm - depending on the weather.
The work is due to be completed by 20th March.
Diversions will be in place and full details of the 8 week scheduled is on the Government of Jersey website.
"These works are part of an Island-wide schedule to continue regular maintenance to road surfaces which are due for renewal every twenty years. For the first time, we have published our annual program of works online so Islanders can be prepared in advance. This project has been planned in phased sections, working around school half term, to minimise disruption as far as we can especially on the Georgetown junction, but we do apologise for any inconvenience the work will cause.” - Rob Cabot, Highway Maintenance Manager.
