20 firefighters have spent the night dealing with a ‘significant’ fire in St Brelade.
Crews were called at 11pm on Tuesday (25 March) to find a two-storey building was engulfed in flames near Clos Saut Falluet.
Two appliances were sent from Fire HQ in St Helier, along with an extra water carrier because of the restricted water supply in the location of the fire.
Jersey Fire and Rescue Service says access was challenging, with firefighters having to cross neighbouring properties and woodland.
Extra on-call firefighters were deployed to get the fire under control and prevent the flames spreading to surrounding areas
Crews were on the scene for around four hours.
No injuries have been reported. The cause is being investigated.
Watch Commander Ryan said: "This type of incident demonstrates the importance of our On-Call colleagues. It is no doubt that without their support, we would not have been able to bring this fire to such a successful conclusion within such a short time period."
