Jersey Police warned of potential travel chaos on a major route to town because the traffic lights weren't working at the eastern end of Victoria Avenue.
Engineers were at the scene before sunrise. The problems were fixed just before 8am.
Roads around West Park Roundabout were closed for a time, causing delays on the Esplanade.
