Jersey Police want to hear from anyone who saw a grey car run a red light on the pedestrian crossing between Le Fregate and the Grand Hotel as an 'older couple' were waiting to cross.
It happened at the westbound portion of the crossing at around 11:35am yesterday (Tuesday 25 August).
The force is particularly keen to speak to the drivers of the vehicles who had stopped in lanes one and two to allow the pedestrians to cross.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
