Two branded Stagecoach buses will bolster the fleet as the company prepares to take over Guernsey's services from 1 April.
Traffic and Highways has posted a picture of the two blue buses parked at the Tramsheds depot.
They will be used during the transition period to ensure that fleet numbers are at capacity.
The buses have UK number plates, but these will be swapped for Guernsey ones.
The States has also confirmed that six new buses are on order. Four are diesel, but two are electric.
Previously, a number of trials have been run with electric buses, but this will be the first purchase and will confirm their suitability for local roads.
The minibuses used by CT Plus will be phased out.
Stagecoach will take over on 1 April as Guernsey's new bus operator.
The vice president of the Environment and Infrastructure Committee, Deputy Adrian Gabriel, says everything is ready for a smooth handover:
“A significant amount of effort by all parties has been dedicated behind the scenes to ensure a seamless transition to the buses being operated by Stagecoach.
"We’re particularly pleased that Stagecoach will be transferring locally-based staff across, ensuring that continuity and experience is maintained, while embracing the ethos and values of Stagecoach."
