More than 1,700 swimmers, volunteers and supporters have raised £68,500 for Guernsey charities.
The total tops last year's efforts, and John Stuart, Chairman of the Skipton Swimarathon Organising Committee, says they are absolutely thrilled with this year’s result.
"Every swimmer, sponsor and supporter played a part in helping us exceed last year’s total.
"The energy and enthusiasm throughout the week were incredible, and it’s a testament to the community spirit that defines the Swimarathon."
The annual event at Beau Sejour spans across five days, with funds going to causes across the Bailiwick.
This year's main beneficiary is St John Guernsey LBG.
Heather Langlois, Chief Executive Officer of St John Guernsey LBG, says this funding will help us expand our first aid education, youth programmes and community services across the island.
"We’re so grateful to everyone who swam, donated or volunteered.
"Your support helps us save lives and care for our community."
The 50th Swimarathon takes place next year, with organisers already planning on making the 2026 event the 'biggest yet'.
