Heavy and persistent rain is to hit Guernsey this weekend, which could lead to flash flooding.
Guernsey’s Met Office forecasts this weekend is going to be very wet in the Channel Islands.
The exact location of the heaviest rain is not known at the moment.
Islanders can expect it to start from the early afternoon on Saturday (7 September), and for it to get worse overnight into Sunday (8 September).
The government has been preparing for the bad weather and islanders are also advised to take precautions.
In a statement, the authorities said:
“In case the impact is particularly bad, but islanders are advised to take appropriate steps to protect their property, and be aware that the roads will be very wet and visibility may be limited at times.”
