It follows a capsize and dramatic helicopter rescue after midnight in rough seas.
The yacht, called Koesio, was taking part in an official race from Le Havre in northern France to Martinique in the Caribbean.
It capsized a few miles north west of Guernsey early on Sunday morning (26) in rough seas.
The challenging night time rescue was carried out by Guernsey's lifeboat and a French helicopter, which lifted the two crew to safety.
They were taken to France for a check up but it is understood they are unhurt.
Their yacht drifted south overnight and yesterday (26) was craned onto the shingle bank, out of harm's way.
