In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, all public waste and recycling sites will be closed until further notice.
This will affect the Household Waste & Recycling Centre at Longue Hougue, and the Chouet green waste site.
Islanders should also cease using the public recycling bring bank sites, as it does not constitute an essential journey.
The Longue Hougue Land Reclamation site and Mont Cuet will also be closed to commercial operators. Guernsey Waste staff will be responding to enquiries via phone by 01481 231234 or email to recycle@gov.gg.
Household waste and recycling collections are continuing as normal. However anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or has been displaying symptoms should follow the advice provided by Public Health on disposing of their waste.
