A skin-care price comparison app developed by a Guernsey born businesswoman enticed a Dragon to invest.
Flinty Bane, from Guernsey, and her business partner Ben Barter pitched their app 'SKIN' to the Dragons' Den on 21 March.
Investor Sara Davies bought 10% of the business for £50,000.
She says she was impressed by the duo:
"I love the simplicity of Flinty and Ben’s concept.
Comparison sites and apps are the norm in so many other retail sectors, so why not beauty?
I can’t wait to work with the duo to support and mentor them through the next exciting step, taking SKIN to consumers around the world.”
Co-owner Flinty Bane says the TV exposure is invaluable to the success of the next stage of the business:
"We obviously wanted an investment from one of the dragons, but also it's such an incredible marketing opportunity.
The exposure that you get from being on a show like that - there aren't really nay other opportunities like that."
